The following are the steps of Super Lawyers’ patented multiphase selection process:
- Nominations – Attorneys are nominated and evaluated by their peers, third-party feedback, and the Super Lawyers research team.
- Independent research – Each candidate is assessed based on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The indicators include verdicts/settlements, transactions, experience, representative clients, special licenses/certifications, honors/awards, bar and/or professional activity, position within a law firm, education/employment background, scholarly lectures/writings, pro bono, and community service, and other outstanding accomplishments.
- Peer evaluation – Candidates who earned the highest point totals from steps one and two serve on the Blue Ribbon Panel, who are tasked to evaluate other candidates within their main practice area.
- Final selection – Only five percent of attorneys are selected to the Super Lawyers list, while only 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list (eligible candidates must be either 40 years old or younger, or have been in practice 10 years or less).
Attorney Kornbluth was selected to Super Lawyers for the eighth consecutive year (2014-2022). He has also been recognized by North Carolina Super Lawyers as one of the Top 25 attorneys in Raleigh and Top 100 in the state of North Carolina.
