About Michael Kornbluth
Mr. Kornbluth is a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Employment Law and has been recognized by North Carolina Super Lawyers every year from 2014 through 2025. He is also honored as one of the Top 100 lawyers in North Carolina and Top 25 in Raleigh. From 2011 to 2014, he was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star, recognizing his early career excellence.
Mr. Kornbluth is the past Chair of both the Labor and Employment Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Employment Law Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. He has also earned the “AV Preeminent” designation from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer rating for professional excellence and ethical standards.

Most recently, Mr. Kornbluth has served on a panel titled “#MeToo: A Conversation about gender bias, discrimination, and sexual harassment in the legal profession” (Sept. 2018), and was a lecturer for “A Cultural Shift – #MeToo and Times Up” (May 2018). Mr. Kornbluth also has presented the “Basics of Litigating Employment Cases” to the North Carolina Bar Association (Feb. 2018, 2020) and an “Overview of Handling Social Media in Your #EmploymentLaw Practice” (2018).

Mr. Kornbluth graduated with Honors from George Washington Law School in Washington, D.C. While in law school, Mr. Kornbluth interned for Judge Thomas F. Hogan of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Michael practices law throughout North Carolina in State and Federal Court and is admitted to practice in the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina. He has successfully tried cases to verdict in numerous courts. Mr. Kornbluth’s main areas of focus are Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, and Executive Severance Agreements.
