Durham Lawyer Andrew Henson

Andrew Henson has been recognized as a 2018 Rising Star in Employment Law by Super Lawyers. Mr. Henson graduated with honors from UNC School of Law in 2015 where he competed on the Holdnerness Moot Court National Appellate Advocacy Team. Prior to law school, Mr. Henson graduated with honors from North Carolina State University with degrees in Political Science and German Studies. Mr. Henson also worked in the North Carolina General Assembly as a policy advisor for issues relating to taxation and unemployment insurance.

Mr. Henson practices primarily employment law, with a focus on breach of contract actions, noncompete agreements, executive severance, sexual harassment, wrongful terminations, and WARN Act class actions. Mr. Henson is licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina and is admitted to the federal United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina.

Mr. Henson is active in the community through his work as Chairman of the Rules Committee and Board Member of the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board, in addition to serving on the Board of Directors for the historic preservation nonprofit, Preservation Durham.
